Enter the Local Government Innovation Awards! …Yes, this includes schools and school districts!

Minnesota faces the reality of increasing demand for government services with reduced revenue. Yet many counties, cities and schools are refusing to let the traditional dictate their responses to these challenges. Instead, they're pursuing innovation and service redesign. The awards recognize the creative ways counties, cities and schools make Minnesota better and doing things differently.
The awards are now open and accepting entries until November 2. Please be sure to share the innovative work you are doing for an opportunity to be recognized. This year’s awards will honor up to 18 local government entities (six cities, six counties, and six schools). Among these award winners, three finalists will go on to compete for a grant of $25,000. Minnesotans can cast their vote to help determine the finalist that will receive $25,000 to continue local government innovation and redesign work!
The Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota is pleased to partner with the Association of MN Counties, the League of Minnesota Cities, the MN School Boards Association, and InCommons to conduct the 6th annual Local Government Innovation Awards. This year’s Awards have been made possible with the support of InCommons, an initiative of the Bush Foundation that inspires, supports and connects community-powered problem-solving.
