Happy Give to the Max Day! As as our state celebrates "The Great Minnesota Give-Together," I hope you’ll support MinnCAN and our work to give every Minnesota child a great public school.

With your help, we went three-for-three on our campaign goals this year and enacted three important policies to put Minnesota on track to closing its achievement gap. But there’s still a lot of work to be done. If you believe in MinnCAN and the kind of success we achieved this year, then please consider supporting our long-term mission to make Minnesota schools the envy of the nation once again.

MinnCAN is changing the conversation on education in Minnesota and empowering Minnesotans like you to put the "public" back in public schools. Just this year, our track record includes:

  • Convening 1,200 of you to help pass Minnesota's alternative licensure bill by signing a petition. Now law, we are helping place great teachers in the classroom.

  • Convincing Gov. Dayton to exercise his executive order and link $4 million in scholarship money to the Parent Aware pre-K early childhood rating system.

  • Restructuring the teacher evaluation model so 35 percent of teacher evaluations now include individual student growth data.

  • Garnering statewide support for Minnesota’s Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge application.

We’ve had a great start, and we need your help to continue this momentum. Please click here to donate today to MinnCAN and please encourage your friends to do so as well. Great public schools are everyone's business and Give to the Max Day is an easy opportunity to help make sure all Minnesota children have one.
