Daniel Sellers was MinnCAN’s executive director from 2012-2016.

In 2011, community leaders across Minnesota formed MinnCAN to make great public schools available to all kids. Diverse in political, demographical and professional backgrounds, these founders sparked what is now a network 10,000 “actionists” strong.

We’ve come a long way for kids and have much to celebrate, including 11 victories at the capitol. Today, we’re also celebrating our THIRD birthday!

As we prepare for the ’14 legislative session, our birthday comes with an assignment…

Tell us—in 140 characters or less—your THREE wishes for public education.

Next Friday, Jan. 31, at noon we’ll pick our favorite response and reward its author with a b-day cake and a $300 gift certificate to DonorsChoose.org–where teachers raise funds for classroom projects.

Share your three hopes in one of two ways:

  1. On Twitter with the hashtag #EdWishList.
  2. Email us your 140-character wish list.

Broadcast this opportunity far and wide, and bring more voices to the movement for great public schools for all.

Thanks for celebrating with us and we look forward to hearing your three wishes!
