As the budget talks continue, we’re fighting to make sure that any deal on education funding includes pre-K and teacher effectiveness reforms (you can join the fight here). But we’re not the only ones jumping into the education debate. This morning Charter School Partners will be hosting a rally to protest a proposed increase in the amount of funding the state would delay paying to schools next year from 30 percent to 40 percent.
Here are the event details:
WHAT: Charter School Rally calling for waiver for additional holdback/shift from 30 to 40 percent.
WHERE: West Entrance of the Capitol on the landing/steps outside Governor Dayton's office.
WHEN: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19.
WHO: Charter School Partnership and other charter school supporters.
